Hey all,
I got bored tonight and wrote a quick app to test huge ranges of Collatz Conjecture (as seen recently on XKCD) and somehow it turned into a competition to see who could run it faster. It not optimized or anything but decided to upload it here in case someone is interested. Little to no testing done, so use at your own risk. Don't forget to read the readme for usage info.
Maybe post your log in the comments for comparison :)

Toshiba Qosmio x500
Recently purchased a Toshiba Qosmio x500 gaming laptop as my old laptop is on its deathbed. From what i've seen so far this Laptop has been an excellent buy. I have been running Crysis, Assassin's Creed and Heroes of Newerth all on "very high" settings and they have run smoothly and look great on the 18.4" screen. I had a problem with all my games crashing, but toshiba was very helpful and exchanged my laptop when i reported it. The only other problem has been aquiring a laptop bag for the hugemungus beast but found one on the toshiba website for about $120, so im gunna order it today.

I got home from work today and settle down on the sofa whipped out the wii guitar and rocked out acing a few rockband songs on easy to make my day seem like it had some meening. After getting 5 stars in 23 songs in a row (which isn't hard btw) i stumbled to my room still seeing green red and yellow notes in front of me and turned on my laptop. ten seconds into my first game of HoN the laptop crashed and proceeded to do so for the next couple of games. By now you should have realised their is no point to this blog other than me QQing. anywho i'm gunna by a new gaming/annimation laptop this holidays and would appreciate any suggestions.
I'm sure you've all been dying to hear what our projects are. Well... Uhm... I still can't say to be honest... They aren't close enough to completion.
However... The last few days I've been porting SkyRaiders to Java for Phones (MIDP2.0, CLDC1.1 for those interested)... I got bored while the team is relaxing. I'll post a "demo" in a bit for members. Sorry to people avoiding registering... I understand you want to remain anonymous, just means you'll have a wait for the "complete" game before you can play. The main advantage of registering is the ability to post comments (you can read them) and getting early access to what we are working on.
The snow effect will be switched off in a few days (1/1/2010 to be exact).
Well, my dinner is now cooked, so wrapping this post up. Have fun everyone- remember to keep an eye out for that jar file in the next few days.
